About us
A boutique firm for a city of neighborhoods

From our Broker in Charge
How MetroVillage came to be
I've been in real estate in the Queen City since 2001. I started out at a large company, and I felt like I was in a sea of agents — just another number. I knew our clients could feel it too. So I made a change and joined Center City Properties, a small mom-and-pop firm, where I grew quickly and served as Broker in Charge for many years.
In 2008 the family decided not to keep the company going, and I saw an opportunity. I saw the kind of real estate agency the Queen City was missing — one small enough to know its clients, and experienced enough to serve them well. I took over Center City Properties and turned it into MetroVillage Properties: a boutique firm that focuses on clients, not on a count of sales.
That's still the whole idea today. When you call here, you talk to the person you hired — and you'll never be just another number with us.

Why we're different
Charlotte has no shortage of real estate companies, and most of them sound exactly the same. MetroVillage Properties was built the other way around: keep the roster small, know the city deeply, and treat a $1,600 rental with the same care as a $2 million listing.
The skyline in our logo is hand-drawn, and there's a reason for that. This is a firm made of people who live here, walk these neighborhoods, and answer their own phones.

You work with the person you hired. No handoffs to a junior team you've never met.
